The President’s Temper Tantrum

Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

It really bothers me to have to sit and watch the president having a temper tantrum on national television about whether or not this country tortures people and whether or not we are allowed to disagree with him.

Where’s the outrage? I was brought up in a country that set the moral high ground for the rest of the world. We were looked up to. Now where are we? Currently occupying Iran and threatening Iran. And Bush says its unthinkable that we even question his thoughts and edicts.

A truly enlightening comment on the latter statement is made here by Keith Oldermann.

How the Republicans are Killing our Democracy

Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

This site is just my ranting about how I feel about the current state of the Republican Party and how its ruining our country.

I’ve been a life long Republican, first voting for Barry Goldwater and every Republican since then right up to when I just couldn’t do it again in 2004. And since our state (Washington) was going to Kerry anyway, I think I voted green, or maybe libertarian, I can’t remember.

So from time to time, I’ll be adding my 2 cents worth about how I feel about what’s going on at the time. Just an average joe with a few opinions about the mess we’re in right now due to Bush and his war team, not to mention such things as stem cell research which I favor and Bush opposes.

I’ll be back.
